General Nursing & Midwifery Diploma Course (GNM)

Duration Of Course:
The Diploma in General nursing and Midwifery shall be of 3½ years duration. There will be a per-professional period of 12 weeks. During this time the students will be introduced to basic Science like Physics, Chemistry, Biology and Languages – English & Assamese. After successful completion of this period students will be introduced with the professional nursing course.
Eligibility:
Female Candidates – 17 to 35 years of age
Academic Qualification: 10+2 Preferably with 45 % in aggregate from any stream.
Selection Procedure:
- Preliminary scrutinization of application forms.
- A written admission test of 100 marks.
- A personal interview & medical examination

The syllabus and the curriculum are designed by the Indian Nursing Council. The Assam State nursing council is the examining council for the school. The school is recognized by both the council.
